About - Central Plains Region
The churches of the Central Plains Region of the North American Baptist Conference will work together to make more and deeper disciples, multiply ministries (plant churches), and develop leaders.
The Central Plains Region (one of the thirteen regions of the North American Baptist Conference) consists of fifty-six churches of the Great Plains Association (most of South Dakota and a couple of churches in Iowa), the Southwestern Association (Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Missouri), and the Southern Association (Texas and Louisiana).
We envision the churches of the CPRNAB making more and deeper disciples that multiply in their communities.
We envision pastors and church leaders equipped and encouraged in the fulfillment of the Great Commission and Great Commandment.
We envision new leaders being raised up and equipped.
We envision churches being planted across the region and to the ends of the earth.
We value dependence on God: Dependence on God is visible by making prayer and God’s Word a priority in everything we do.
We value the local church: The local church is designed by God to accomplish His mission in the world.
We value mission: Mission is making disciples who make disciples leading to the multiplication of ministries/churches.
We value Gospel centered relationships: We can accomplish more together than we can alone.
We value leadership: Leadership is developing emerging servant leaders in the local church.
We value fruitfulness: The CPR will help churches determine their mission and measure their progress in accomplishing it.
