The churches of the Central Plains Region of the North American Baptist Conference will work together to make more and deeper disciples, multiply ministries, and develop leaders.

Equip the NEXT Generation
A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.

—John Maxwell

“We grow in Christ as we seek him together. Jesus’ own pattern of disciple-making was to be intimately involved with others and allow life to rub against life. By gathering in twos or threes to study the Bible and encourage one another, we most closely follow Jesus’ example with the twelve disciples.” – Greg Ogden.

Christian leadership development finds its foundation in the process of biblical discipleship. Jesus’ command to “make disciples” means we seek to see people become followers of Jesus who grow to full maturity in Jesus so that they accomplish the good works God has prepared for them to do (Ephesians 2:10). Equipping the next generation of leaders requires intentionality.

Five Levels of Leadership Development Resourced by the NAB Conference.

Impact the NEXT Community
When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.  – John 15:8 (NLT)

If you are a disciple of Jesus, then you are a disciple maker! In Jesus parable of the vine and the branches he emphasizes the fact that a healthy branch, a branch that abides in the vine, produces fruit – much fruit!

The Central Plains Region is committed to helping established congregations grow and become healthy.  We work in cooperation with the North American Baptist Conference to utilize resources and tools that will help churches evaluate and strengthen their ministry.

Reach the NEXT Nation
[Jesus said]  “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” – Matthew 28:19 (ESV)

When followers of Jesus grow in maturity, they will impact the community around them which will ultimately lead to the nations of the world.
